KB Wedding Videography

About the Business

KB Wedding Videography is a professional wedding videography business based in Somerset. Over nine years, Kien Bennett has grown the business from a solo operation into a team of associate videographers, a dedicated editor and a virtual assistant, creating lasting memories for couples across Somerset and beyond.

The Challenge

As the business grew, questions emerged around pricing, delegation, scaling the team without losing quality and reducing reliance on the owner being present at every wedding. There was also a desire to explore new revenue streams and build a more sustainable long-term model.

The Mentoring Journey

Business Mentoring supported Kien, with a mentor, Chris, who provided dedicated time to focus on strategic development rather than day-to-day delivery. Discussions covered pricing strategy, team structure, delegation, future growth opportunities and the potential development of a commercial videography service. The sessions helped bring clarity and structure to ideas that previously felt overwhelming.

In Their Own Words

“The mentoring gave me the space and structure to think properly about the future. I came away feeling more in control, more focused, and much more ready to grow the business with intention rather than just effort.”

Outcomes

As a result of the mentoring, the business;

  • Developed a clear pricing strategy, improving confidence in quoting and converting enquiries.
  • Strengthened the associate team model, reducing reliance on the owner.
  • Explored commercial videography as a potential new revenue stream.
  • Increased confidence in strategic decision-making and long-term business planning.

Looking Ahead

The business plans to continue growing its associate team, expand online visibility, explore commercial videography opportunities and create more capacity for business development and long-term growth.
