The three-year programme aims to support new hospitality businesses, bring vacant premises back into use, and fund training initiatives that help people gain valuable skills and employment opportunities.
Launched by the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, the scheme is designed to help strengthen local high streets, boost economic growth and support community-led regeneration projects. Funding will be available for initiatives that encourage business development, create jobs and improve access to hospitality services in towns, villages and neighbourhoods across the country.
More than £3 million has been allocated to Pub is The Hub, a not-for-profit organisation that helps rural and disadvantaged communities expand the services offered by local pubs. This could include projects that provide community facilities, essential services and new opportunities for residents and visitors.
The programme builds on a successful pilot scheme and forms part of the government’s wider commitment to supporting small businesses, vibrant communities and a thriving hospitality sector.
Guidance is available now, with applications expected to open from the end of September 2026.
